scope:
Purpose. The purpose of this military standard is to prescribe the radiographic inspection requirements for metallic and nonmetallic materials.
Application. The criteria for the radiographic inspection in this standard are applicable to all types of metallic materials. The requirements expressed in this standard are intended to control the quality of the radiographic images, and are not interested to controlling the acceptability or quality of materials
