This part of ISP 11183 specifies how the Association Control Service Element, the Presentation Layer, and the Session Layer standards shall be used to provide the required upper layer function for the CMISE/ROSE functions. These specifications are therefore the common basis for the application functions as defined in subsequent parts of the ISP.
