This European Telecommunication Standard (ETS) specifies the Layer Management functions for the Signalling ATM Adaptation Layer (SAAL) at the Network Node Interface (NNI) for the pan-European Broadband Integrated Services Digital Network (B-ISDN) as provided by European public telecommunications operators. These Layer Management functions include the interfaces to the Service Specific Connection Oriented Protocol (SSCOP) (see ETS 300 436-1 [8]), to the Service Specific Co-ordination Function (SSCF) at the NNI (see ETS 300 438-1 [9]), and to systems management.
