PURPOSE

The purpose of this program is to save lives through appropriate distribution, maintenance, and utilization of Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs), in accordance with regulations and NASA policy.

APPLICABILITY 

This directive applies to GSFC employees, both civil service and contractors who may use an AED. This includes Greenbelt, Wallops Flight Facility, Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York and Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) in West Virginia.
