This I-ETS specifies he requirements of single-mode optical fibre cables to be used in ducts and for directly buried application. The requirement take into account CCITT Recommendation L.10, "Optical Fibre Cables for Duct, Tunnel, Aerial and Buried Application". This I-ETS is intended to be used to prepare the relevant detail specifications for armoured and unarmoured cable to cover the different climatic and environmental conditions experienced in Europe.
