scope:

This specification covers lowbed, tilt deck, four-wheel semitrailers having rated payloads of 15 to 30 tons. Vehicles procured under this specification are commercial items which are warranted by the manufacturer as specified in procurement documents.

The semitrailer shall be one of the following sizes, as specified (See 6.2):

Size 15 - 15 ton

Size 20 - 20 ton

Size 22 - 22 ton

Size 25 - 25 ton

Size 30 - 30 ton.

intended Use:

The vehicles covered by this specification are intended for non-tactical use in transporting track and wheel mounted construction equipment, tracked vehicles, machinery and other cargo.
