scope:

This specification covers a waterproof, single-pole, sensitive switch used for controlling electrical circuits up to 30 volts direct current in tactical military vehicles.

The switch shall be classified as follows (see 6.2 and 6.7):

Type I - Single-throw

Type II - Double-throw

Class 1 - Normally open

Switches covered by this specification are intended to be used as gun-firing switches in combat vehicles.
