This specification covers psychrometers to be used for determining relative humidity of atmospheric air by means of wet- and dry-bulb temperature readings.
The psychrometers shall be of the following types, as specified (see 6.1):
Type I - Psychrometer, wall-mounted. Type II - Psychrometer, sling. Type III - Psychrometer, fan-ventilated, battery-operated. Style A - Commercial. Style B - Shipboard. Type IV - Psychrometer, fan-ventilated, 115 volt, alternating current (a.c.) and direct current (d.c.). Type V - Psychrometer, sling, pocket type.
