This Standard covers polybutylene (PB) pipe and tubing for potable cold water pressurized distribution systems.
This Standard includes requirements for material, workmanship, dimensions, and hydrostatic sustained pressure strength. Methods of marking are also included.
Note: This Standard does not include requirements for fittings used with PB pipe and tubing. Only fittings recommended by the pipe manufacturer for the intended application should be used.
