NATO - ARMP-1

NATO Requirements for Reliability and Maintainability

inactive
Organization: NATO
Publication Date: 1 January 1993
Status: inactive
Page Count: 27
scope:

This document provides general requirements and specific tasks for R&M programmes during design, development, production and deployment of systems and equipment.

In this document durability of materiel is treated as an aspect of reliability and not as a separate system or equipment characteristic. If, due to the nature of the materiel, eg mechanical structures, durability must be treated as a separate characteristic, then the durability requirements must be specified separately in the contract (and the procedures and methods of ensuring their achievement laid down by the Purchaser).

APPLICABILITY

This document applies to all materiel when referenced - in part or as a whole - in a contract or purchase order. The Purchaser will have selected from this document only the elements needed to tailor the requirements and tasks to the individual acquisition. If any inconsistency exists between the contract requirements and this document, the contract requirements shall prevail.
