This specification covers special blasting caps for use in detonating various types of explosives (see 6.1).
The special blasting caps shall be of the following types, as specified (see 6.2):
Type I - Nonelectric, J-1 Type II - Electric, J-2
intended Use:
The blasting caps covered by this specification are intended for detonating compressed TNT, compressed nitrostarch, Composition C-3, and Composition C-4 explosives.
