Description
Sodium hydroxide, pure, is the quality of 'caustic soda' which is used in the manufacture of initiatory compositions. It is very hygroscopic and also rapidly absorbs carbon dioxide from the air; for this reason it is normally supplied in airtight containers each holding 500 g. It is usually in the form of white sticks or pellets.
