scope:
The equipment covered by this specification, when connected between standard teletype equipment and suitable radio equipment, shall effect two-way radio teletype communication. Radio modulation shall be frequency shift keying between single sideband stations and audio frequency shift modulation between AM and FM stations. Transmission and reception shall be sequentially accomplished. No operating controls other than those furnished as part of the teletypewriter equipment shall be required.
The Signal Data Converter shall be of one type and shall consist of following items:
