This Defence Standard specifies metric gauge blocks of nominal lengths from 1 mm to 100 mm inclusive, to be used in inspection and general measurement applications for Ministry of Defence use. It does not include special purpose sets, such as those required for high accuracy calibration applications, or those required for very small lenghts.
