Foreword: This specification covers the general inspection and testing requirements for titanium and titanium alloy castings.

It ·is primarily for use in conjunction with related material specifications in the Procurement Executive, Ministry of Defence DID series and Materials Department, Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough approved specifications, but may also be used with other material specifications by agreement between the purchaser and the manufacturer. Additional special requirements may be agreed between the parties concerned.
