IIAR - STANDARD 2
Standard 2-2014 Addendum A, Standard for the Safe Design of Closed-Circuit Ammonia Refrigeration Systems
| Organization: | IIAR |
| Publication Date: | 1 January 2014 |
| Status: | inactive |
scope:
The new and improved IIAR 2-2014 is the definitive design safety standard of the ammonia refrigeration industry - IIAR 2 has undergone extensive revision since the 2008 (with Addendum B) edition was published on December 3, 2012. A major focus of changes made to IIAR 2-2014 had been incorporating topics traditionally addressed in other codes and standards so that IIAR 2 can eventually serve as a single, comprehensive standard covering safe design of closed-circuit ammonia refrigeration systems.
Addendum A (2019) has been published to address concerns raised by interpretation requests, and to address some differences with other published refrigeration design standards. In addition to these changes, a new chapter (18) and a new appendix (N) were added to address ammonia absorption systems. The former appendix N information (references) has been moved to appendix O. Sections that have been changed or are new for Addendum A are marked with a line in the margin.
