MODUK - DEF STAN 93-18

Phenolic Resin Bonded Fabric Mouldings, Natural, Type QX

inactive, Most Current
Organization: MODUK
Publication Date: 1 March 1989
Status: inactive
Page Count: 13
scope:

This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for phenolic resin bonded fabric mouldings, Type QX, of natural colour.

The designation "Type QX" indicates that the material is suitable for certain applications where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement. However, compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established and Design Authorities should seek advice on particular applications from the Director, Royal Armament Research and Development Establishment, Waltham Abbey, Essex EN9 1AY.

Attention is drawn to Defence Standard 13-10211 Testing of materials which are required to be compatible with explosives.
