scope:
PURPOSE. This Directive provides general procedures and guidelines for Marshall Space Flight Center's (MSFC's) environmental management program. The MSFC environment includes the soil, water, air, and natural habitat within and around MSFC boundaries. This Directive defines and establishes the responsibilities of the Environmental Engineering Department (EED) and MSFC user organizations for managing and conducting environmental activities. This Directive also ensures the cooperation and support of all MSFC user organizations in an effort to achieve the environmental goals of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and MSFC and to meet environmental regulatory requirements.
APPLICABILITY. This Directive applies to all MSFC user organizations and on-site contractors.
