GENERAL

This Part of the Def Stan 58-95 series contains Detail Specifications for Electronic Assemblies for which there are no current CECC/BS Detail Specifications, for Ministry of Defence use.

The Detail. Specifications contained herein have been either prepared or approved by the Master Specification Officer in accordance with Section of INTERIM Def Stan 58-95 (Part 2)/1 and are generally presented in the format adopted for BS Specifications.

The individual specifications are in loose leaf form and will be identified by this Defence Standard number followed by a serial number allocated by the Directorate of Standardization eg 58-95/90/000. For convenience an index is printed overleaf. This will be revised periodically by amendment action.

For all requirements, IT LS ESSENTIAL THAT EQUIPMENT DESIGNERS WORK TO THE DIMENSIONS STATED IN THE RELEVANT DETAIL SPECIFICATIONS LISTED, AND NOT TO THOSE OF INDIVIDUAL SPECIMENS.

The amendment status of the specification will appear on the front cover of that Detail Specification. If more than three amendments are required the Detail Specification will be reissued.

This Standard has been agreed by the authorities concerned. It is to be implemented whenever practicable in all designs, contracts, orders etc. commencing after its date of publication. If a difficulty arises which prevents application of the Standard the Directorate of Standardization shall be informed so that a remedy can be sought.
