This specification covers heat treated alloy steel forgings of the following classes for general industrial use:

Class A-Annealed, normalized, or normalized and tempered forgings.

Clases B and C-Normalized and tempered forgings.

Class C1-Normalized and tempered or double normalized and tempered forgings.

Classes D, E, F, G, and H-Normalized, quenched, and tempered forgings.

Supplementary requirements of an optional nature are provided and shall apply only when specified by the purchaser.

NOTE-The values stated in U.S. customary units are to be regarded as the standard.
