Purpose
a. To revise and restate Department of the Navy (DON) policy for the acquisition, management, and disposal by DON of real property and real property interests.
b. To assign responsibility and delegate authority to carry out such policy. This instruction is a substantial revision and should be read in its entirety.
Applicability and Scope.
This instruction applies to the acquisition, management, and disposal of all real property and real property interests under the control of exceptions listed in Paragraphs 8, 9 and 10.
