SCOPE AND SUITABILITY
This specification governs certain fuel soluble corrosion inhibitors. (listed in APL 2461) which may be used to improve the lubricity of aviation turbine fuels.
Materials approved must comply with the type approval and inspection clauses detailed below and are subject to the overriding requirement that they shall possess satisfactory performance and properties when used in appropriate aircraft and/or gas turbine engines operated by the Ministry of Defence or other Government Departments.
Materials supplied shall comply in all respects with the relevant requirements of this specification unless otherwise agreed in writing by the issuing branch of the Ministry ot Defence or by the appropriate Quality Assurance Authority.
