This Standard covers the dimensional and certain other requirements for cases used in new designs of aircraft instruments including radio and radar panel mounted instruments (eg blind approach and landing aids).
It does not apply to radio and radar instruments other than those mentioned above.
This Standard also includes a method of identification for the different types and sizes of cases used for aircraft instruments.
