This standard appliesto newly produced illuminating appliances constructed entirely of new, unused parts and materials,
a. for use with naturai gas;
b. for use with propane;
c. for use with butane.
These requirements cover gas-fired lighting appliances intended for either outdoor or Indoor installation for attachment to futed gas piping sysîems, Appliances approved for Indoor use under this standard are als suitable for use in motile homes and recreational vehicles when propeiiy installed.
This standard is not intended to cover open-flame iiluminating appliances having an input rating in excess of 5,000 Btu per hour (1465 W) per burner.
