A.This List of Specifications and Standards, specifically approved for use by the Naval Sea Systems Command (OS), will be revised as necessary to make additions or corrections and will be published yearly or more often as required. Many of these documents are prepared by activities other than the Naval Sea Systems Command (OS). The preparing activity of each of these documents has agreed to coordinate changes with the Naval Sea Systems Command (OS).

B. Additional specifications and standards including Federal specifications used by the Naval Sea Systems Command (OS) may be found listed in the Department of Defense Index of Specifications and Standards (DODISS), Part I and Part II, in the Naval Sea Systems Command index of Ordnance Specifications and Weapons Specifications (NAVORD OS-O), and in the Naval Sea Systems Command Index of Ordnance Publications (NAVORD OP-O).
