scope:

This specification covers hand-operated, electrically or steam-heated degreasers for use with hydrocarbon type solvents for the removal of dirt, grease, oil, and sludge from metal and other surfaces.

Degreasers shall be of the following classes and sizes as specified (see 6.2.1).

Class 1 - Electrically heated. Size 1 - Minimum inside dimensions: length, 70 inches; width, 30 inches; with 30-inch vapor depth. Size 2 - Minimum inside dimensions: length, 84 inches; width, 36 inches; with 36-inch vapor depth. Class 2 - Steam Heated. Minimum inside dimensions: length, 70 inches, width 30 inches; with 30 inch vapor depth.
