scope:
This specification covers amber (yellow) or red clearance marker lights for service and blackout use in military vehicles. The clearance marker light assembly shall be referred to as "light assembly" herein (see 6.1).
Lights shall be of the following classes and colors (see 6.2).
Class 1 - Service lights enable safe operations of military vehicles under normal conditions of visibility. Class 2 - Blackout lights are designed to maintain vehicle blackout security during blackout conditions by limiting horizontal and vertical illumination as well as providing ample light for safe vehicle operation.
