SCOPE AND SUITABILITY

This specification governs four types (see para 3) of aircraft engine thrust augmentation fluid intended primarily for military applications the engine types for which each fluid is suited are stated in para 3.

Fluids provided to this specification shall possess satisfactory performance and properties when used in appropriate aircraft and/or aero engines operated by the ministry of defense or other Government Departments.

Where an option is open to the purchasing Authority (para 5.2.1.2) the contract document shall clearly state how that option has been exercised.

Fluids supplied shall comply in all respects with the appropriate requirements of this specification unless otherwise agreed in writing by the issuing Branch of the Ministry of Defense or by the appropriate Quality Assurance Authority.
