The present Standard, "Configuration management", is part 5 of EN 13290 space project management - General requirements. The purpose of this European Standard is to define the principles and requirements for the management of the configuration of products within a space project. This Standard defines all the rules for a proper configuration management. The requirements specified herein apply to, and affect the supplier and customer at all levels, when demonstrating the capability to design and supply conforming product. When viewed from the perspective of a specific project context, the requirements defined in this standard should be tailored to match the genuine requirements of a particular profile and circumstances of a project. NOTE Tailoring is a process by which individual requirements of specifications, standards and related documents are evaluted and made applicable to a specific project by selection, and in some execptional cases, modifiction of existing or addition of new requirements.
