This specification covers the design and performance of the radio set AN/URC-94(V), a multimedia high frequency (HF) and low band very high frequency (VHF) communication transceiver operating in the 1.5 to 29.9999 megahertz (MHz) frequency band in the amplitude modulation (AM) mode and in the 30.0 to 79.9999 MHz frequency band in the frequency modulation (FM) mode. The AN/URC-94(V) is a militarized version of a commercial equipment, the radio frequency (RF) communications model RF-280.
intended Use:
The AN/URC-94(V)-1 is intended for service craft and boats applications. The AN/URC-94(V)-2 is intended for fixed shore installation applications.
