scope:
Purpose. To establish policy, procedures, and responsibilities for the conduct of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Inspection Program. This is a major revision to the previous instruction.
Applicability. Provisions of this instruction apply to the conduct of command performance inspections at all commands and units subordinate to the Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command (COMNAVSEACOM). Evaluations under the cognizance of SEA 08 are governed by Executive Order 12344, statutorily prescribed by P.L. 98-525 Title XVI, and are exempt from the requirements of this instruction.
