The present document specifies the Test Suite Structure and Test Purposes (TSS&TP) for both the Sending and the Receiving control of the Generic Addressing and Transport (GAT) based on ITU-T Recommendation Q.860 (06/2000), modified [9]. This GAT protocol is independent of the transport mechanism. This GAT protocol may operate indifferently through ISDN, B-ISDN or SS7 systems and may use either bearer related or bearer independent transport. A further part of the present document specifies the Abstract Test Suite (ATS) and partial Protocol Implementation eXtra Information for Testing (PIXIT) proforma based on the present document.
