This commercial item description (CID) covers a commercial hazardous materials (HazMat) truck. It has a 4×2 or a 4×4 chassis with a diesel engine and an automatic transmission; a cab for at least four persons with at least three doors; and a utility body. The HazMat truck is intended to stow and transport hazardous materials response equipment for the purpose of mitigating chemical leaks, spills, and release in both on- and off-road environments. The HazMat truck is also intended to provide an incident command work station area for the purpose of research, command, control, and communications.
