This specification relates to an antifouling paint for use on the outer hulls of submarines and the boot top areas of surf ace ships. It is to be applied after the application of the specified anticorrosive system has been completed.

The paint should prevent the growth of animal and plant fouling organisms for at least two years both on active vessels and on vessels subjected to long periods of inactivity.

Depending on the service life required one or more coats of the paint may be applied. Alternatively, it may be applied over a coat of chocolate anti-fouling paint (161P) complying with TS 10240.
