This Standard covers the electrical and mechanical properties of round wire, concentric lay, overhead electrical conductors made of combinations of any of the following metal wires:

(a) 1350-H19 (hard-rawn) aluminum, designated A1;

(b) 6101-T81 aluminum alloy, designated A2;

(c) 6101-T83 aluminum alloy, designated A4;

(d) 5005-Hl9 aluminum alloy, designated A5;

and, when applicable, one of the following cores:

(e) regular strength steel, designated S1A or S1B, where A and B are zinc coating classes;

(f) high strength steel, designated S2A or S2B,

(g) extra high strength steel, designated S3A.

The conductor designations included in this Standard are:

(a) A1, A2, A4, A5;

(b) A1/S1A, A1/S1B, A1/S2A, A1/S2B, A1/S3A;

(c) A2/S3A; (d) A1/A2, A1/A4, A1/A5.

(d) A1/A2, A1/A4, A1/A5
