scope:
PURPOSE. This Instruction sets forth the policies, standardization practices, requirements, procedures, responsibilities, and controls for the implementation of NASA's Basic Policy and Standard Parts Program for EEE parts at JSC.
APPLICABILITY. This Instruction is applicable to any JSC organizational element that is responsible for in-house or contracted efforts involving EEE parts in space flight equipment and mission-essential or -critical ground-support equipment for new designs, programs, and projects. Off-the-shelf ground-support equipment qualified for the intended end-use can be exempted from the requirements of this Instruction with the approval of the Center Director.
