This specification covers the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration for a Runway End Identifier Lighting System (REIL) consisting of two flashing lamp assemblies and associated equipment at the approach end of runways. In addition, this specification sets forth the requirements for a centrally located Link Control Unit and the requirements for the Remote Monitoring Subsystem (RMS).
