scope:

This specification covers the general requirements for coaxial switches, either manually or remotely controlled, for use with coaxial cable at radio frequencies.

Coaxial switches shall be of the following classes (see 6.2):

Type of RF Class connector 1 N 2 1-⅝ inch 3 ⅞ inch 4 TNC 5 SMA and 3.5 mm 6 SMC 7 BNC 8 SC 9 C 10 LC 11 LT 12 6-⅛ inch 13 HN 14 7 mm

The military part number shall consist of the letter "M" followed by the basic number of the specification sheet, an assigned dash number (see 3.1), and the letter N or S; where N indicates a nonscreened item and S indicates a screened item. Part numbers without N or S shall be considered nonscreened items.
