scope:
The standard specifies drill sizes for threaded holes before cutting of threads and shaping of nut threads with normal screw in length. The drill size for cutted threads is approximately equal to the nominal diameter minus the pitch. The drill size for shaped threads is approximately equal to the nominal diameter minus half the pitch. The standard specifies metric drill sizes with only four exceptions are chosen from ISO 235 and the dimensions shall in future be regarded .....
