scope:
This specification covers six grades of carbon black for use in ammunition (see 6.1).
The carbon black shall be of the following grades, as specified (see 6.2 and 6.4).
Grade A - For use in manufacture of rocket propellant. Grade B - For use in stabilization of Cyclotol explosives. Grade C - For use in small arms ammunition propellants. Grade D - For use in ABL 917, 1362, 1481 and 2434 casting powders. Grade E - For use in liner material for torpedo warheads, MK 103 and MK 107. Grade F - For use in propellants for 2.2 KS, Tartar, Standard Arm, Polaris, and PBX (AF) - 108 liner material.
intended Use:
Carbon black, covered by this specification, is intended for use in the manufacture of rocket propellant, stabilization of Cyclotol explosives, small arms propellants and liners.
