This specification covers assemblies and components of 4- and 6-inch portable amphibious assault fuel systems and tactical airfield fuel dispensing systems.
The fuel systems shall be of the following types as specified in 3.3, 6.2.1, and 6.9:
Type I. - Amphibious Assault Fuel System (AAFS). Type II. - Tactical Airfield Fuel Dispensing System (TAFDS).
