This specification covers speed coverters for use on Naval Ships having equipment installed which requires a speed input different from that transmitted by the underwater log system. The speed converters receives an input from the underwater log system and coverts it to the type of signal required for the equipment receiving the signal.
Speed converters shall be classed according to input and output speeds and the types of synchros used as shown in Table 1.
