This Defence Standard provides guidance on the valves that may be used in hull, machinery and weapons systems in HM Surface Ships and lists a range of valves and actuators from which selection may be made.
Whenever possible the valves in this standard should be used when selecting valves for use in a Submarine System. Details of the valves selected are to be sent to the Submarine Integrated Project Team (IPT) giving details of where and when used.
