This specification covers the requirements for an illuminator to be utilized for viewing and annotating photographic film negatives and positives. The Plotting Table shall be designated AR-6 ( ). (See 6.4)

intended Use:

The plotting table is intended for viewing negative and positive film transparencies by transillumination and to provide a flat, smooth surface for making annotations, overlays and tracings.
