This ISP is applicable to interworking units concerned with operating in the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) environment. This part of the ISP specifies subnetwork-type dependent requirements applicable to an interworking unit attached to a LAN and using the ISO 8802-2 LLC type 1 protocol, irrespective of the LAN medium.
