scope:
This specification covers the general requirements for fixed, film, chip resistors primarily intended for incorporation into hybrid microelectronic circuits and surface mounting applications used in space, missile and other high reliability applications. The prerequisite to qualifying to this specification shall be based on current qualification to 'R' failure rate level or better for detail specifications of similar MIL-R-55342 resistor styles. This product shall be capable of meeting all requirements of MIL-R-55342, in addition to the requirements specified herein.
intended Use:
Chip resistors are intended to be used in thick or thin film hybrid circuits where micro-circuitry is intended and in surface mounting applications.
