REISSUANCE AND PURPOSE.
Reissues reference (a) to consolidate into a single document pertinent portions of reference (b), (c), (d), and (e); and
Prescribes procedures concerning the preparation and distribution of revised DD Form 214 to comport with the requirements of references (e) and (f) and the control and publication of separation program designators (SPDs).
APPLICABILITY AND SCOPE
The provisions of this Instruction apply to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Military Services, the Joint Staff, and the Defense Agencies (hereafter referred to as "DoD Components"). The term "Military Services," as used here, refers to the Army, Navy, the Air Force, the Marine Corps and, by agreement with the Department of Transportation, to the Coast Guard.
