The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Interim Commercial Item Description which was developed by DLA, Defense Personnel Support Center, Directorate of Medical Materiel, DPSC-RST, 2800 South 20th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19101, based upon currently available technical information.

This interim commercial item description covers complete dental thread forming pin kits (consisting of mounted pins, drills, and drivers), replacement kits (consisting of replacement mounted pins), and a replacement driver. The kits shall be suitable for use in the thread-forming pin technique. The kits shall be of the following classes, styles, and sizes as specified below. The driver shall be class 3 as specified below.

Class 1 - Complete Kit (pins, drill and driver) Style A - Single pin Size 0.015, 0.019 0.024, 0.030 inch diameter Style B - Single pin, shoulder-stop Size 0.024, 0.030 inch diameter Style C - Double pin Size 0.024, 0.030 inch diameter Style D - Double pin, shoulder-stop Size 0.024, 0.030 inch diameter Class 2 - Replacement Kit (pins) Style A - Single Pin Size 0.015, 0.019, 0.024, 0.030 inch diameter Style B - Single Pin, shoulder-stop Size 0.024, 0.030 inch diameter Style C - Double Pin Size 0.024, 0.030 inch diameter Style D - Double Pin, shoulder-stop Size 0.24, 0.030 inch diameter Class 3 - Driver, self-threading pin
