The Code of Practice DS 452 is valid for insulation of technical and supply systems having an operational temperature between -20°C and 120°C. The proposed Annex D extends the temperature range up to 500°C. The extention concerns insulation class 4 in order to make it valid in the temperature range from 120°C to 500°C as well. The background for this annex is a Danish law concerning energy efficiency, analyses and judgements of energy savings etc.
