This specification covers liquid-in-glass, self-indicating cooking thermometers (see 6.1).
Thermometers with scale ranges as indicated, shall be of the following classes as specified (see 6.2):
Class 1 - Confectioner's, 60°F - 360°F Class 2 - Cooking (deep fry), 60°F - 450°F Class 3 - Cooking (roast meat), 120°F - 195°F Class 4 - Dough testing, 60°F - 110°F Class 5 - Oven, 200° - 600°F
